Passing YCT 3 indicates that you have reached an excellent level in basic Chinese. You are at a level where you can communicate on familiar daily topics in a simple manner. It requires you to master 300 Chinese words and phrases. There are two sections in this level: listening and reading. The listening section contains 35 items and the reading section contains 25 items.
